Thoughts:
I have never read the book series Vampire Diaries so I can't judge book to television, but I really do enjoy the TV show. To be competely honest, I was expecting this to be some super cheesy TV show with really bad acting because that's all I see now-a-days. Although, I was very pleasantly surprised. I fell in love with not only the the characters looks, but all of the acting as well. Plus, the TV is really creepy (but I also get scared too easily).
I really like the way the vampires look when they're hungry (or is the correct word thirsty?). They just look super creepy and it's not anything I've ever seen. Plus, it totally beats the sparkles. Not only that, but the secrets and cliffhangers after every episode leave me speechless. Recently after finishing one episode, I was left thinking "WHAT?!" for 10 minutes.
As much as I would love the rate this TV series a 5/5, there is a drawback that is driving me INSANE. These characters are suppose to be 17...SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD and judging by the picture up top, do they honestly look 17? No... No they do not. The actors portraying the characters are all in their 30's. I honestly think they could have pulled off 18 or 19, but really. 17? No. So far, that's the only thing that bothers me, but I'm only on season one, episode....10 I wanna say.
Also, pretty much everyone I know is Team Damon, but I'm Team Sefan. Want to know why?

Enjoy the first season, but look forward to the next 2 because 2&3 were the best in my opinion. 4 is okay.....you know up and down as series tend to go. I will watch until it's done forever because, well, Ian Somerhaulder. At least he isn't supposed to be 17. :) I think Stephan is cute, but he isn't even close to Damon. It's not a bad thing to have 2 nice guys to look at though.
